The Daily Critique

"George from New York" by Craig Tanner

Posted: February 6th, 2009 @ 12:01am

In today’s Photo of the Week on the Daily Critique Craig showcases a portfolio of stunning black and white architectural images titled “Gotham City”. Craig talks about using a polarizer to increase local contrast in the skies of your images. Craig also talks the visual power of working with the major diagonals of the frame as an element of visual design. Craig also discusses the many ways that the sky has been used to great effect in these images to rhyme the architecture and create a powerful feeling of visual unity within each image and the portfolio as a whole.
