Join us in one of America’s most beautiful and fascinating Zion National Park for 6 days of field shooting, image critique, and instruction in digital post processing techniques.

 

We will photograph some of the Zion’s  classic locations in beautiful light, such as The Watchman, The Emerald Pools,  The Court of the Patriarchs,  along the Virgin River, as well as many other lesser know, yet still stunning locations.  Presentations cover traditional topics such as exposure and composition, and post processing techniques such as a digital workflow, adjustment layers, masks, etc. In the field instruction and daily critique of work shot during the workshop using a digital projector are a major focus of the week.

The closest major airport to Zion National Park is McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. McCarran is approximately 170 miles from Zion National Park. There are also regional airports in the area, both less than 50 miles from Zion: St. George (SGA) and Cedar City (CDC)
 

We will release workshop participant contact information to the members of this particular workshop, with each participant’s approval, as the workshop dates approach so that you may arrange car sharing, etc. with each other.

We have a block of rooms set aside for the class at the rate of $91/night for the standard rooms with queen beds, and applicable taxes.   The block of rooms will be released on September 24, 2009. 

 

In order to get this special rate, participants may cancel their reservations with a 24-hour notice before check-in. Once checked in, participants are responsible for the cost of the entire stay.

 

When you call for reservations, please tell them that you are with the Craig Tanner/Marti Jeffers Photography Workshops, or reference VISTA, in order to get the special rate.

 

We have also classroom meeting space at Best Western Zion Park Inn.

 

 

Vehicle Entrance Fee: $25.00 for 7 Days

 

This permit allows all persons traveling with the permit holder in one single private, non-commercial vehicle (car/truck/van) to leave and re-enter the park as many times as they wish during the 7-day period from the date of purchase.
