The Daily Critique

"John from the UK" by Craig Tanner

Posted: March 17th, 2009 @ 12:01am

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful woodlands landscape photograph and discusses the following points:

-  the traditional path of the viewer on a printed page and the potential power of the impact of that movement relative to visual unity

 - how dramatically different the eye may move through a monochrome version of our images

 - painting with the brush in soft light blending mode to create lighting effects

 - accentuating the RGB color triad

 - using the warp tool to create a visual rhyme
