"Benjamin from Denmark" by Craig Tanner

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a stunning pet portrait and discusses the following:
- the editing process and how important it can be to have plenty of time to spend with an image and how editing can be an ongoing process over a very long period of time
- the relative weight of the different parts of the frame based on how we have been conditioned to look at the printed page and based on natural physical laws like gravity
- the visual weight of implied visual pathways
- using light and shadow and local contrast to direct the eye and imply visual unity.
