Death Valley National Park
February 21 – 27, 2009
(Sat 7:00 PM thru Friday at noon)
Instructor: Craig Tanner
We will photograph some of Death Valley’s most captivating features in beautiful light, such as the Mesquite Flat Dunes, Badwater, Golden Canyon, Zabriskie Point, and many more! Depending on rainfall, we may have the opportunity to photograph some beautiful wildflower displays. Presentations cover traditional topics such as exposure and composition, and post processing techniques such as a digital workflow, adjustment layers, masks, etc. In the field instruction and daily critique of work shot during the workshop using a digital projector are a major focus of the week.

“The Death Valley National Park workshop was superb! I came out of it not only with great photos, but with improved photographic vision and techniques. Everything was excellent: The locations and outings, the instructions and demonstrations, and the individual photo critique. Craig created a great atmosphere in which we all learned from each other as well as from him… the teaching was supportive, skillful, and excellent. I would recommend this workshop enthusiastically to anyone looking to boost their landscape photography to the next level.“ -- Saul S. (Death Valley National Park Workshop participant 2008).
“The Death Valley National Park workshop was my second workshop with Craig and it won’t be my last. Craig has found his passion in teaching and it shows. Anyone looking for exceptional photographic instruction, a break from the every day and an unforgettable experience should attend one of these workshops.” -- Joshua W. (Death Valley National Park Workshop participant 2008).
