Next Step Spring

(Sunday at 3:00 pm – Saturday at 1:00 pm)
Instructor: Craig Tanner
Tuition: $1,195
Deposit: $300

Our Pledge to You

The Next Step workshop is about peeling away fear, expectation and convention and finding the passion, purpose and the heart of your work as an artist. This workshop is about getting who you truly want to become as a person and artist into your photography.   The Next Step workshop is about uncovering your unlimited potential as an artist and human being.   Craig has designed a series of fun and challenging exercises that facilitate the peeling away of layers of fear and expectation and finding your passion.

The beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, with its lovely squares, the historic district, lively River Street and music scene, with a possible trip to one of the barrier islands or historic Bonaventure Cemetery, will be the backdrop for our explorations.

This six-day creativity workshop is limited to 10 to 11 participants to insure a maximum amount of individual instruction and to insure a powerful sense of community among the participants.

Testimonials:

“I came away from the Next Step workshop a better person and photographer.  I was given the chance to test my own courage and creative limits. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who cares about life and all it’s interesting and magical moments that we seem to allow to fly by and go unnoticed. This workshop is a gift to yourself, you will learn so much more than simply taking a shot…you will go deeper into your inner being. Learn learn learn, feel feel feel, experience experience experience. I can’t thank the leaders enough for this wonderful experience.” Jim P. (Next Step Workshop participant September 2007).

“There is no question in my mind that the Next Step Workshop has changed my life. I experienced connections and personal growth that I never thought possible. This experience uncovered courage and emotion in me that I had not previously acknowledged. Highly recommended for anyone looking to push their personal limits - only to be rewarded by limitless possibilities as an artist and human being. Thank you,  Craig Tanner and the 10 other brave photographers who shared it with me. “ Scott F. (Next Step Workshop participant March 2008).

Additional Information

Getting There:

The closest airport to Savannah is the Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport (SAV).  The airport is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Savannah.  There is taxi service and there are rental cars available at this airport. Taxi fare to the historic district where our hotel is located is approximately $25.00.

We will release workshop participant contact information to the members of this particular workshop, with each participant’s approval, as the workshop dates approach so that you may arrange car sharing, etc. with each other.

We will only need enough cars to transport participants away from the city to shoot at one or two locations outside of the city, weather permitting.  For the rest of the time, all of our shooting locations are within walking distance of the hotel.  We do encourage the participants to share rental cars.
