Oldies But Goodies

"Magnolia Blossom Lensbaby" by Craig Tanner

Posted: October 24th, 2008 @ 6:17pm

In this oldie but goodie Craig takes a walk through shooting magnolia blossom macro with his favorite lens – the Lensbaby. Craig discusses how this specialty lens works. Then Craig goes into the process of the shoot and talks about how he warms up from a creative standpoint when he is shooting his personal work. Craig discusses color theory and talks about how the eye sees color differently than the camera. Craig also discusses some of his favorite Lensbaby techniques like using extreme bends, working with split focus, and taking advantage of the Lensbaby’s tendency to flare.
