"Victor from India" by Craig Tanner

Posted: September 14th, 2009 @ 12:01am

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful landscape image and discusses the following:

- the inherent power of contrast and visual archetypes

- visual stops along the “x” axis of the image - the use of color backgrounds as a framing device for a photograph

- how space on the “y” axis of the usually does a better job of expressing a sense of scale in the landscape than movement on the “x” axis

- creating multiple layers of story.
