The Daily Critique
"Philip from Michigan" by Craig Tanner
 Posted: September 21st, 2009 @ 12:01am

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a dramatic architectural photograph and discusses the following:
- looking at a diffraction chart for your lenses so that you understand when it is no longer worth it to stop down to gain more depth of field
- formally symmetrical framing in architectural photography
- converting to black and white to simplify the overall image and increase the impact of the main subject
- multiple ways to work with contrast to make a subject appear to move towards the viewer
