"Anthony from Australia" by Craig Tanner

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong landscape photograph and discusses the following:
- getting closer to the main subject to simplify the image
- shooting low to high to simplify the background of an image
- considering an HDR (high dynamic range) treatment to deal with landscape scenes that are very contrasty
- revisiting the at scene at twilight and painting with light
- looking closely at implied energy and movement on the major diagonals
- looking at the image in monochrome and considering the possibility of this scene as a setting for a self portrait
