"Mike from Massachusetts" by Craig Tanner

Posted: December 9th, 2009 @ 12:01am

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong landscape photograph and discusses the following:

- considering f-stop and shutter speed as more than exposure controls

- working with contouring lines and implied flow of movement to create visual depth and visual unity

- looking at how positive and negative space shapes contribute to visual unity

- managing luminosity from foreground to background in a sunrise or sunset scenic photograph

- managing color from ashaded foreground to warm background in a sunrise or sunset scenic
