Join us for this exciting 6-day workshop lead by Craig Tanner in one of his favorite National Parks and one of America's best-kept secrets. Craig and Marti are very familiar with this beautiful, remote and diverse park. Where the rocky Chisos Mountains meet the Chihuahuan Desert, we find rare plant species and extraordinary landscapes. We spend several days in the park exploring and photographing these diverse environments.
We will photograph some of Big Bend’s most captivating features and classic locations in beautiful light. Some of these include Santa Elena Canyon, Rio Grande Overlook, Ernst Tinaja, locations along scenic Ross Maxwell Drive, Casa Grande, River Road overlook and others, including the ghost town of Terlingua on the western edge of the park with it’s historic boot-hill cemetery.
Classroom presentations cover traditional topics such as exposure, creativity, composition, and post processing techniques such as a digital workflow, adjustment layers, masks, etc. In the field instruction and daily critique of work shot during the workshop using a digital projector are a major focus of the week.

Testimonials
“Can't thank you enough for another great workshop. I had such a great time that I haven't stopped talking about it. I can’t wait for the next one." -- Steve M. (Big Bend National Park 2007).
"This is my second workshop with Craig and Marti. On the day I came back, I signed up for another one for next year. Craig and Marti lead very special workshops. They are made of several key ingredients that make the workshop a wonderful experience. They know the area well and selected great places to shoot. The time during non-shooting sessions was dedicated to photography education and image critique that I think was critical to the success of the workshop. Finally, the group of participants were great caring people, each with a different style of photography, from whom I learned a lot. I highly recommend the workshops led by Craig and Marti for anyone looking for inspiration and a great learning experience." Yair (Big Bend National Park 2009).
"The TME Big Bend workshop -- a week of getting up at 5, spent with people you have never met met, combined with instructors who get it ... and add a great location .... equals a week that you won't forget and will change what you do when you put the camera up to your eye. Do it. You won't be sorry." Chris (Big Bend National Park 2009)
