The Camera: Introduction and Image Quality by Craig Tanner
 Posted: January 1st, 2010 @ 8:26pm

*** If you need a basic understanding of f-stop and shutter speed we encourage to click here to read this very short but easy to understand article before watching "The Camera" four part video series.
This is the first video in a series of short videos about basic camera controls and settings that Craig recorded for attendees of The Mindful Eye's 2010 Weekend photography workshops. This is a great video series for beginning photographers who are looking for foundation information which can help you to gain a better understanding of your digital camera. The exposure videos are great for all photographers who would like a clearer understanding of how your camera's meter works and easy to understand information about how to read and use the histogram - your digital camera's most powerful tool when it comes to mastering exposure.
In this first video, Craig introduces the concepts that will be covered throughout "The Camera" video series and discusses the image quality settings of RAW and JPEG.
To read more about the RAW and JPEG file formats click here.
If you would like to know more about f-stop we encourage you to click here to watch a TME foundation Concepts Video where we go deeper into concepts related to f-stop as a camera control.
