In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong architectural detail photograph and discusses the following:

- simplifying by getting close

- simplifying color by limiting the number of colors, making colors shapes and shapes colors, and having areas of color neutrality

- creating image depth by juxtaposing different types of geometry

- looking at balance from left to right

- considering balance relative to information along the edge of the frame

- documentary vs. abstract

- acting boldly
