"Jim from the UK" by Craug Tanner

Posted: June 7th, 2010 @ 2:43pm

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong landscape photograph and discusses the following:

- diffraction, split neutral density filters, workflow, and best shots relative to the first response a photographer has to a subject

- repeating the “missing” piece of the sky in the foreground

- balancing negative space shapes at the top and bottom of the image

- color depth and complimentary

- closely watching the luminance value of reflections vs. the reality they are reflecting

- digital gardening to simplify

- Nikon D80 EFL 27mm ISO 100 f16@ 1/8th
