"Bill from Australia" by Craig Tanner

Posted: November 10th, 2008 @ 12:01am

In today’s critique Craig works inside of Photoshop to make the edits and gives a tour of a few of the new features inside of Adobe Photoshop CS4. Craig discusses quality of light, quality of line and using a vanishing point to create an illusion of depth in a landscape image. Craig shows the new clone stamp preview feature and also showcases the new adjustment layer drawer. Craig shows how he works with curves to make a tonal adjustment while preserving local contrast. Craig also shows how he will use a blank layer, soft light blending mode and painting with black and white to make local value adjustments to an image.
