"Alfred from New Zealand" by Craig Tanner

Posted: June 25th, 2010 @ 12:01am

In this week’s Photo of the Week on the Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful landscape photograph and discusses the following

-  shutter speed and implying motion with typical surf action as a subject

 -  simplicity and dynamic placement of one subject

 -  cross hatching of diagonal energies

 -  combining a mostly implied motion image with one small area where motion is stopped

 -  color theory, balance and subject separation

 -  Canon Mark II 1DS  17-40mm zoom @17mm ISO 100 F18@ 1sec
