In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong studio portrait photograph and discusses the following:

- a two light beauty lighting set up

- quantity and quality of light in the eyes

- flagging the light or changing the angle of it

- the implication of starting your design with formal symmetry

- color casts and managing color relative to the main subject of the image

- Nikon D300 EFL 90mm ISO 100 f3.5@ 1/2sec two flash heads (model left and right) modified by translucent umbrellas
