In this week’s Photo of the Week on the Daily Critique Craig looks at a powerful action shot and discusses the following:

- the importance of frames per second as a camera body feature in capturing action

- stopped and implied motion

- how depth of field and color theory are helping to simplify a contrasty image

- the importance of understanding the implied energies with in the blank frame and relative to subject choice, placement and cropping

- quality of light is relative to your subject matter and what you are trying to say about each subject

- expanding the qualities of light with which you are willing to work
