In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful pattern study and discusses the following:

- setting a black point in the image

- formal symmetry, dynamic symmetry and the design motif of pairs

- the storytelling potential of choosing subjects that represent archetypes

- adding a third color to create tension and to slow the eye of the viewer

- the Y shaped color triad
