In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful landscape image of the Virgin River and discusses the following:
- shooting a part of the scene to make the image more personal for you and the viewer and to simplify the subject matter of your shot
- considering the texture of the surface of water relative to shutter speed
- color theory
- creating more movement on the “x” axis and creating more implied diagonal movement between the two dark rocks in the image
- thinking outside of the box of the image to create a diptych using two parts of the existing image
