Daily Critique

"Mike from New Jersey" by Craig Tanner

Posted: November 24th, 2008 @ 12:01am

In Today’s critique Craig discusses working a backlit landscape scene. Craig talks about the possibility of creating a sunstar effect. Craig also talks about overall image balance, color balance, rhythm and creating dynamic balance by playing different design motifs off of one another. Craig shows how to blend two white balance versions of one scene to create more color depth and also discusses making that work congruent with the quality and flow of light. Craig also shows an effective method for darkening narrow shadows.
