Photography Critique - Pattern and Color Study - Zion National Park

"Erik" by Craig Tanner

Posted: November 9th, 2010 @ 3:05pm

In today’s Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful pattern study and discusses the following:

- quality of line and balancing implied shapes

- hue, value and saturation as qualities of color and the design motif of two complimentary color pairs

- implied movement based on the way we have been trained to look at media

- using Adobe Photoshop to do some digital gardening and contain the eye in the lower right corner of the image.

- Metadata – Canon 5D Mark II, EFL 45mm, ISO 400, F8@1/10th
