Photography Critique - Angel and Storm - Historic Oakland Cemetery

"Kel from Georgia" by Craig Tanner

Posted: January 11th, 2011 @ 12:01am

In today’s Daily Critique in the Digital Darkroom Craig looks at a beautiful photograph of an angel statuary and discusses the following:

- choosing the best f-stop relative to depth of field, critical sharpness and exposure

- getting the detail you need at the level of capture

- using the clone stamp to create new detail in an area that has none

-using curves and levels adjustment layers to edit the sky in the image

- applying local sharpening

- Metadata – Canon 50D, 41mm lens, f2.8@ 1/8000th
