Photography Critique - Street Photography - Woman Embroidering a Pillowcase

"Jenny from Canada" by Craig Tanner

Posted: February 10th, 2011 @ 12:01am

In today's Daily Critique Craig looks at a strong environmental portrait and discusses the following:

- the fear of approaching strangers with your camera

- Trying different angles including one that emphasize the hands and the work the main subject is doing on the pillowcase

- color theory

- synergy of stability between the imagery and the crop

- working in Adobe Photoshop to straighten a potentially distracting background subject and increasing emphasis on the main subject

- Metadata - Canon Rebel, EFL apx. 50mm, ISO 400, f10@ 1/200th sec
