Daily Critique

"Blake from Connecticut" by Craig Tanner

Posted: December 3rd, 2008 @ 12:01am

In today’s critique Craig talks about portrait lighting relative to showing off the best features of a portrait subject. Craig talks about how the gesture of looking up can be both a powerful form of communication to the viewer and help the model to look more energetic and vital. Craig also talks about how a soft focus filter effect can create a more dreamy, glamorous look. Craig also talks about the importance of balance in images with simple backgrounds.
