"Alan from Australia" by Craig Tanner

Posted: June 6th, 2011 @ 9:19am

In today's Daily Critique Craig looks at a beautiful black and white landscape photograph and discusses the following:

- achieving greater depth of field

- elements of the image that balance

- chiaroscuro lighting

- so much of the time less is more when it comes to tonal value in big landscape shots

- accentuating local contrast to increase unity and rhythm while more directly leading the viewer's eye

- Metadata - Full Frame Sensor Camera, EFL 32mm, ISO 100, F11@ 4 secs
