In this part one of a two part episode of The Great Photo Finish Craig looks at the finishing work on a recent portrait of his friend Guitar Bob. You can go here
to Craig's blog to see a large finished version of the image and to leave questions and comments.
In this video Craig discusses the technique of creating and "shooting in the gaps" to capture images that have not been pre-visualized where the portrait subject is potentially more relaxed. Craig also discusses converting to black and whit and some of his initial edits to change value and contrast in the image.
is the link to a separate video where Craig specifically discusses the Adobe Photoshop technique involving the paint brush tool and layer mask that he uses over and over again for making local edits of value, contrast and color to an image. You can find this on video on YouTube
