Conceptual Self Portrait

Posted: December 12th, 2008 @ 12:01am

In today’s Photo of the Week on the Daily Critique Craig discusses how quality of light, positive and negative space shapes, quality of line and color theory can all be used to simplify the message of our photographs and make the main subject come forward even in a complex image with many high contrast subjects. Craig also talks about the idea of assignment and becoming more conceptual in the work that we do as photographers. Craig also discusses the potential for creative growth through the transformative power of the self-portrait.

To learn more about this shot watch Craig Tanner's Photo of the Week on The Daily Critique.
