But I like this pano format. We can see how far the big wave extends, which one can't see if a longer lens is used. Great shot. I love the colors of the ocean with the surfers providing color contrast.

Wish we had more sports shooters. This is a neglected category!

Very nice composition. Boy, you guys have the waves. I've just shot some surfers making the best of Florida waves after a cold front. A poor imitation of the real thing. Is your lens 300mm?

That it such a great shot, Nick. I like the blues and whites and the action in this shot. Of course it makes my stomach churn a little, when looking at those big waves that are about to engulf the surfers.

I just happened to be at the beach today in So. California watching a strong northwest swell come in. Of course all the surfers were wearing there winter wet suits, some with hoods! I like the pano format as well and the white of the foam. Good job!

Agree with the panorama technique - nice composition and colors; filter? Looks like maybe a polarizer at work?
