| April 27, 2012 @ 6:02pm | To create a physical reaction -- even if unpleasant -- is perhaps one mark of a successful photograph.

| April 28, 2012 @ 9:06am | I agree. Suggestion to viewers: take a white card and starting at the bottom, slowly move the card up the image - you'll then be able to see each layer better and appreciate its pattern and texture. Or I guess you could start at the top and work your way down. It's an interesting exercise - allows us to see details we'd miss because they tend to fade into being just parts of the whole.

| May 26, 2012 @ 11:36pm | Sigh... You and Andreas look at bicycles and see poetry... Other friends see it in horses. Me? I wind up with framed hunks of acrid metal or lumps of horsey beasts. You've found ... as you so frequently do... patterns that create abstract moods. You are so powerfully good at this. When I visit your website... You just make it look so simple to find intrigue in still life. Gosh I wish I could make my lens suck in as much interest from the static moment even occasionally as you seem to do - like this - effortlessly.

Ted, I have to agree with your assessment of April's and Andreas' still life images. How many bikes has Andreas shot - hundreds? And yet he still comes up with an interesting angle/POV that's unique each time. April can do the same and she's getting better and better.
