| Mean Removal Fly | June 9, 2012 @ 9:00am | "Mean Removal" is a tool in an online image processor, Image Magick. It produces interesting results in some images. Below is an example:

What do you think of this effect? And can something like this be accomplished in Photoshop, any version?

| June 9, 2012 @ 11:12am | Looks like over sharpening to me, Flo and this certainly can be done in PS. I do it all of the time. Look like a lot of halos along the edges of bright and dark areas

| June 9, 2012 @ 2:17pm | Funny, but I guess they are halos, altho they look more sharply defined along the edges than most halos I've seen look.
Did you notice why it did to the background? Not noise, but some sort of very fine texture.
