It was apparently "Bring your horse to the beach day" as there were at least dozen horse trailers in the parking lot ready to take a stroll. I wish I could have taken more pictures, but I had my husky with me and he was ready to go. I was able to steal this shot before I was dragged to the beach. C & C appreciated!

Nice composition, Natalie! The horses are beautiful and sweet.

One is saying to the other: "Could the woman please get that camera out of our faces and take that crazy mutt out to the beach?!" Roll Eyes

I like that you framed this composition with the one horse's white blaze just about center. I also like the patient expressions of the two horses. It's like, "We're always having to do this. Sigh." The graphic form the two heads make together looks like the letter "M" - very nice.

One question, the car in the bottom left corner is bugging me. I want to remove it, but I do not know how. I will try to figure it out, but does is necessarily need to be removed?

And yes - they were probably ready for me to get my dog away from them! Smile

Glad your dog was just barely patient enough to let you catch this pose. Regarding the car: if it bothers you, and you clone it out, will you then find yourself fretting about all the busy foliage and other background clutter still left? If I wanted a real project, I think I'd try to extract the horses entirely from the shot and provide a white background. White--because I like the look of the white driveway beneath their necks.

That's a good idea! (now if I can just figure out how to do it)Smile

Figured I would take a shot at this making the background white. The only thing I am not pleased about is the horse's hair on the left. But, I did the best I could for the moment. I don't know how to remove color in between strands of hair yet. Smile But I guess now that I think about it, I could just blend two more pictures together....hmmm....will work on that tomorrow.

But overall, I like the idea! Thanks...

Wow! Do they really pop! I like it. You ended up with something much better than I had envisioned. Nice job!

They do pop! You did very well for your first attempt.

As for the car in the original version, I didn't even notice it, because the horses were so interesting. If the car bothers you, just darken it so it fades into the background.

I agree with Flo. I didn't notice the car until I read you post...the horses just steal the show. Great job on both.

I really like the composition and the position of the horses heads. The top section makes for a great valentine heart.

It could almost be a card.

Nice work,
Tim
