| Rain Drop | March 7, 2009 @ 8:09pm | This is about as close as I can get with the 100mm macro. I opened it up wide, focused it in tight and sort of swayed the hand held shot clicking when I thoght it was in focus. Apart from a slight crop its right out of the box. looks like I blurred the background with ps brushes.
I would have liked not to have overexposed the water.

| March 8, 2009 @ 7:29am | Michael, it's beautiful I know how hard a shot like this is to get, because mine rarely turn out well. I love the way the background looks, its colors and direction of "flow." Looks like a waterfall on our red planet.

Oh I cheated a bit Becky I used a monopod. I couldn't hold it this still 1/13"

I too know the struggle to get a rain/dew drop in focus. Its not only the old eyes, its the old hands. For me a blurred abstract works much better.
