Interesting the force of nature that can drive these shoots through the dark of last year's dead leaves.



Wish they were a little sharper. 4 and 5 seconds to take because of the light and stopping down.

The 2nd one is an environmental shot and shows the size of these buds. I prefer the 1st because it is an art image. But both are beautiful images.

I might try playing with a crop down from the top to make the 1st one almost square. Since the buds are centered horizontally, this crop would also center them vertically.

Hurrah, Michael, spring is sprung for sure in your neck of the woods. Love the colors here that look like small flames.

Nice catch. Time for me to get out and do some searching.
