| Diffused | March 21, 2009 @ 7:34pm | While out crawling in the woods for wildflowers yesterday and needing more than the two hands God blessed me with, I leaned my diffuser against a twig so I could shoot the flower. When I turned around to grab the diffuser, there was this wonderful, diffused shadow showing through.
Enjoy, Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W. |

Beautifully subtle and suggestive. It makes me take a moment to pause, and reflect.

| March 22, 2009 @ 7:30am | Like April, I'm so glad you noticed this! I can't tell that it's a shadow shot through a diffuser - it looks like the focus was very selectively enhanced by a wide-open lens. Just beautiful.
And now you've given us all something else to play with - to consider the possibilities of using a diffuser as a shadow-catcher!

Flo, I wanted to just say in response to your 'something else to play with' comment, "Hehe hehe hehe. Me too."

What a clever idea Janet. Love the subtle blur that is achieved by this technique. Thanks for the inspiration.
