These were especially beautiful. But my shots turned the whites to grayish white, which I didn't like at all.

Original, undiddled:

Macro, diddled:

Different Blend mode:

24mm lens with the Opteka 6X lens attachment. The light was hazy sun and I think I had the WB set for daylight, which should have blued the whites, I would think.

Beautiful little flowers. I love the crocuses and daffodils. Isn't spring grand?

You do know you can fix the white balance in Photoshop. The process is easy; and there are several ways to do it. I personally like some of the color casts and leave them on the pictures for effect. In other words, keep "diddling".

Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W.

Flo, I obviously need to "diddle" with some Dogwood I shot. They too were a grayish white. What you have done is really cool (did I just "date" myself).

Thanks, Janet. Yes, I know I could have fixed the white balance a different way. But I decided to diddle - more fun, lol.

Thanks, Becky. "Cool" as a slang word - well, sometimes I do hear kids say "cool," so perhaps it isn't out of date yet and there's hope for us seniors!

I like the electric blue in the last one, Flo. But, in the back of my mind, crocus centers should be bright orange.

Thanks, Wes. Didn't you know that crocuses from the Blue Planet have blue centers? Grin

"Whiter whites! I use PS detergent for my laundry." Sounded like a commercial out of the 1960s, but the results were much easier on the eyes. Thanks for sharing your spring flowers, Flo. Mine are currently buried beneath snow again.
