| Hydrangea | March 29, 2009 @ 8:50am | The buds have started popping and growing.

I love what look now like the arms and hands of a human fetus.
The background of the original was very much in the same colors as the bud. So to make it stand out, I used split toning in Adobe Camera Raw to change the color of the background to the greenish range.
24mm lens plus Opteka's 6X macro attachment.

| March 29, 2009 @ 6:16pm | Flo - this is a captivating image! I love shooting hydrangeas, but since they don't grow here, I only see them once they've reached the nursery/florist - never in bud! Beautiful form, texture, and I'm enjoying the color treatment. C

| March 29, 2009 @ 9:51pm | Flo, I love hydrangeas. They remind me of my Grandmother's home. This is lovely, and I too can't wait to watch you "develop" it. Becky |

| March 30, 2009 @ 12:06pm | Gee whiz, everyone! It never occurred to me to develop this into a series! A little "duh" and a head slap for me! OK, I'll accept the assignment. If the plant lives, I'll shoot it!
It was newly planted at the Grounds for Sculpture.
