| April 11, 2009 @ 9:38am | Thanks for looking, Becky. I don't think too many people in the community are into flowers but I do enjoy their anatomy and colors. Just can't get enough of them so will probably be posting a lot since spring is here.

| April 11, 2009 @ 10:07am | On the contrary, I'm really into flowers!!! I spend countless hours crawling on the forest floor in search of spring wildflowers with rewards of countless chiggers and some amazing snapshots. Therefore, Wes, I can say in all honesty that I LOVE your flower shots. You have clean, crisp shots with an amazing depth-of-field, and gorgeous colors. Keep 'em comin'.
Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W. |

| April 11, 2009 @ 12:46pm | Wes, keep 'em coming! Don't let Ted's remarks that he doesn't relate well to flowers when looking into his viewfinder discourage you from posting more gorgeous flower images. In this image, I love the way the background shows just enough of other plants to be interesting, yet it doesn't at all distract from the lovely yellow subject.

| April 11, 2009 @ 4:09pm | Oh WOW, Janet and Flo. I can't help myself, I'm afraid. Every time I go out, I see something new and unknown to me so am constantly inspired to snap a shot. I just received a 2x teleconverter and stuck my 28-300mm lens on it and checked it out. This makes my lens a 56-600 and, although I have lost a couple of stops of light, with the D3 I can boost the ISO way up and still have success. This combo really gets into the flower, but since I have to shoot wide open, I get a pretty good depth of field. Next I will try the converter on the Lensbaby. Thank you both for urging me on. I guess I can say that flowers are my passion.

Nice to know there are songs that are older than you are.
I like the broken lighting hitting the blossom here.
