This is an image of my grandson sliding back SAFELY (check the foot cleanly ON bag) into third base in Griffin Indiana. It was taken June 15th with a NIKON D700, Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lens at 200mm, 1/1250th sec, f/5.6.

Safe or not, I have no idea, Brian. I see that the foot is definitely touching the bag but I don't know where the ball is from this image. Great capture at a crucial moment.

Actually the thrid baseman dropped the ball as a result of a good slide to the bag. He was definitely safe.

A great action shot, Brian. Just looking at it makes my arm ache from imagined scrapes! I'm glad he was safe.
