| Flo's husband, Bob, just died | July 12, 2009 @ 3:14pm | I thought everyone who knows Flo would like to know this so here it is. Bob was very ill and actually didn't have a lot of a chance of surviving his lung cancer. Flo is really strong and will do just fine but maybe it would help if those who know her from TME or from workshops would say something nice for her sake. We can all use a little support at a time like this. She will survive and be the same Flo as always but with a little more sadness in her life for a while.
Sorry for the sad news and thanks,
Wes |

| July 13, 2009 @ 3:20pm | Flo, you have my thoughts and prayers. I wish I had known earlier. I lost my father to lung cancer and my mother has had it as well. I have some experience in what a person goes through.
No one can spend as much time with another person as one does in a marriage. And no matter how you look at the passing of our spouse, it will still leave a huge hole in your life. May you find peace and comfort. May you find strength and succor in your dark hours. And may you find acceptance eventually. May you find meaningful and fulfilling hours during times of loneliness. And may you find joy in your memories of good times.
God Bless,
Janet

Go ahead and play with the images. I would ask that when you post them on other sites (such as Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) that you credit my photography. I would do the same for you! Other than that, I'm E Z T D B W. |

| July 17, 2009 @ 10:23am | Thank you all very very much for your condolences and messages of faith. I'm thankful that Bob didn't suffer very much.
Now I'm sort of embedded in all the paperwork that's inevitable in our society when one departs it.
I hope all of you will make sure to keep all your "duckies" in order. Get advice from an accountant, too. The laws vary from state to state. So do taxes and fees.

| July 21, 2009 @ 9:46am | Flo,
It is so sad to lose a loved one, but when it is your life partner, it is even harder. You are such an incredible individual, you, too, will, over time, understand that while you may have wanted him with you, God felt that he needed him more at this critical health time with him. Perhaps, this will ease his pain, and the caretaking burdens and energy it required of you. After 18 months since my Mom's death on Valentine's day (and my wedding anniversary also), I'm still dealing with all the paperwork. It doesn't get easy, even though I thought we had everything handled earlier.
So, my prayers, thoughts, and long distance "air" huggs are with you when you need them. Stay strong. and know that I'm thinking of you. paks |

| July 21, 2009 @ 9:57am | Thank you, Phyllis. Paperwork still, after all those months!? Gee, and I'm only just started. Thanks for the heads up on this.
