Lovely, Wes! It's beautiful how the bokeh repeat the drops of water on the lily. I also love the light coming through the petals.

Thank you Jackie. I am beginning to like to look at scenes in black and white.

Great shot wes,

I love the texture visible on the lily leaves, but would be tempted to clone detail back into those full blown highlights on the pads.

I thought the bright spots in the background were a bit too much, Danny so toned the down. They were blown out without texture but they could rhyme the water droplets on the petal. I was going to take them out completely but when I used the the patch tool on a layer in the lighten blend mode it just toned them down. I will have to play around some more to see if anything looks different but better.

Thanks.

Wes, this is so beautiful in B&W. I love that the flower has "jewels" of water/light that are also present on the leaves in the bokeh. It makes the blurred ones look like they're floating around in the flower's presence, like fairies carrying their wands with lighted tips.

Wes, so you are enjoying black and white - it is evident from this image. This is beautiful.

This is beautiful. I like the back lighting. Wes, is that a fly or some sort of insect on one of the petals, camera left?

Glad you enjoyed this, Flo. I can't believe I am beginning to see the black and white possibilites, thanks to you and other in the community, and, of course, Craig's constant reminder to give it a try if nothing else seems to work.

Thank you Charlene. What an eye you have. When I first saw it, I thought I had better remove it as a foreign substance but on closer look it is a little tiny fly, so I just left it.

Strange as it is, Becky, I am giving that treatment more of a chance to show what it can do. Glad you like it.
