| Craig and Marti Status and Whereabouts | July 29, 2009 @ 12:01pm | Hello Everyone,
I hope you are having a wonderful summertime week this week.
Craig and I are on Whidbey Island off the coast of Washington state teaching the Whidbey Island workshop in lovely Coupeville, WA. It's such a beautiful place and we have an awesome group of photographers with us here this week. Yesterday, we all took the ferry over to Port Townsend for the day and had a fantastic time in that lovely port town. I'm not sure the people of Port Townsend will ever be the same after this group of photographers descended on their town, cameras in hand, to photograph the town and it's people.
If we are a bit slow to respond to your emails or requests on this community, please be patient with us. The days are very long here this time of the year, with the sun rising around 5:30-5:40 (civil twilight around 5:00AM) and not setting until 9:30ish. It's really a strange feeling to walk out at 4:30 AM and not need a flashlight to find one's way to the beach.
Thank you all for being here on The Mindful Eye and thanks to our great group of people here with us on the workshop this week.
Marti

| August 1, 2009 @ 10:39am | I hope you all enjoyed visiting our fine state and I look forward to seeing some postings from the work created during the stay.
Thankfully you were all over on the Island, near the water during our recent record breaking run of high temps.
Phil

 I don't know where I'm going, but I’m going anyway. |

| August 3, 2009 @ 6:28am | Thanks, John. What impressed me was that shadow that was sunbathing by the poolside! And also the portrait of someone's feet in the pool - but you missed getting the head between the feet! Try harder next time, OK?
Going to the bank on an orca!? LOL - good one!

| August 4, 2009 @ 3:23pm | Hey John,
I saw the great shot where you used the electronic light from the point and shoot to light the subject and have to say that was a great shot!
Was the lady a part of the group?
I have never seen tattoos like that and was surprised at the beauty of them.

| August 7, 2009 @ 4:34pm | Thanks! She was part of the group of women sitting in the next booth. Hoping she contacts one of us. I would really like to do a portrait session with her.
