| August 7, 2009 @ 8:46am | My gosh, Wes - you never cease to amaze me with the macro effects you come up with! This is spooky - the prickles show up almost as sharply as they can be, yet the rest of the flower head is blurred. You must have done some serious pp on this one. What skill!

| August 7, 2009 @ 1:45pm | I can't let you believe that I am at smart with this stuff, Flo, but glad you did. This was a very simple Gaussian blur on the whole image and then a mask to just show the sharper edges of the sepals of this dying sunflower. That's it. Hope you still like me!!!!!

Thanks, Rick. This light was decent in this one but I do fight with getting a shot where the lot is interesting. Being outside, I don't mess around with it a lot, but I should.
