Here is an IR image taken during the 2009 Whidbey Island workshop. This is from a IR converted 1DS MKII camera and a Lensbaby Composer with the wide angle adapter.

Wonderfully moody and mysterious, David. I really like the God rays coming through the clouds and the texture in the clouds themselves. As part of the mystery, I can't tell if we are looking at water in the foreground or if it is a fog covered low area. Very nice.

A great IR image - with the Lensbaby! Wonderful! So moody and mysterious and threatening. I like that nothing is in focus.

Flo is right on about the tension and moodiness. The texture in the clouds is well caught. What an image!

Thanks for the comments on the image. I am glad to hear the consistency in the comments on the mood and feeling since I wanted that to be the subject vs. something in the actual image.

Shooting the scene in IR really created the mood and wish that I did a normal light shot to compare it to now. When this shot was taken it was early morning following a wonderful sunrise on the first morning of the workshop.Smile

Hi David,

I like this very much. As the others have said, it is wonderfully moody and mysterious. It certainly draws me in.
