I like the DOF. I like how you have composed your image too. The colours are beautiful from the foreground all the way to the background. I like how the light has hit the pollen making it look as if faerie dust was sprinkled about. Maybe it is faerie dust. I think I see gossamer wings surrounding the cluster of pistils. To me it is still a beautiful flower. Charlene

This almost looks like jewelry to me! i also like how this seems to have 2 legs to stand on, so to speak, with the green calyx on the right and the one spent flower toward the left. I like the bits of orange around each dried up pistil - echoed by the subtle orange in center background.

I just stumbled across it accidentally, as I didn’t think I’d even posted anything in the Macro Forum yet. I just can’t get used to clicking on the “Notify me of new messages” when I post something.
