Another image from Whidbey Island that was taken during the workshop. This is an IR image taken near sunset with the sun low in the sky and behind me providing some nice direct lighting to the landscape.

I also ended up turning this into a 15" x 18" palladium print and then added a "raw umber" gum layer on top, excluding the cloud, to give the image a warm tone to it. This is a close approximation what the print looks like.

As a kid, I use to like sitting in the back yard in Southern Illinois and watch the storms come in. This reminds me of those great moments of excitement. I like the treatment you did to it.

I love your final treatment. Did you do the print in a wet darkroom? Not many people doing that any more.

This is so dramatic.

When I saw this area I had the same type of thought and it had reminded me of visiting my grandmother every summer in up state New York. Grand time every year with lots of fun memories.

Hi Flo,
This image was printed old school style in a wet darkroom. The past two weekends I have been learning how to create inkjet negatives and contact printing them in a wet darkroom using a platinum/palladium process and a gum bichromate process to add color/toning to a print.

Gee, how lucky you are! I hope you'll continue to have access to a wet darkroom after this class is over?
