Just wanted to add that I did it for an assignment (B&W still life) at some (russian) forum. If not for that, I would have never tried. I think assignments are very useful. |

Had to laugh while anthropomorphizing these squashes! Very clever, Sasha.
How about trying this with something large to use as a white reflector and place it to camera right? It'll partially eliminate the big dark shadow - unless you want the shadow there.

Right, the path I had in mind actually was squashes->penguins->people!
I did put the shadow intentionally as I thought it would be boring without it. But now I think it doesn't help at all, right? Will try again. I hope the squashes are still alive. |

Great job of creating this event, Sasha. I do get a very strong sense of belonging and of love in this image, because of the placement of each of these squashes.
It reminds me of a recent series of images a photographer took of vegetables and incorporated them into landscapes to produce wonderful scenes.
