I've got just a couple more of these to share from my DC trip. Most of these night shots seem to work better in B&W. When I reviewed this picture on the lcd screen right after I took it, my son commented on the smudges on the right side. I told him that it was created by the people that passed by while the shutter was open for 8 seconds. He was not sure if he liked it at the time, but now he agrees with me that it adds something to this particular scene.

Great shot Sam,

I think the ghost images work as it mirrors the feeling of the memorial on the other side. A fantastic choice for exposure, did you try many variations on it?

Ditto what Danny said, Sam. A very powerful image.

Danny, this is the only picture I took at this memorial that night. We were on a DC Memorials by Night Tour that allowed us 30 min. at this stop which included the Korean Mem. and the Lincoln Mem. So, I was hitting and running, so to speak. I may have a daytime photo of this memorial to post later. Thanks for looking.

Sam - Beautiful image. I agree the blurred silhouettes add great movement to the shot.
