| This ain't good... | August 22, 2009 @ 12:12am | While I was taking some shots of an Araneus spider (relax, Becky, it's not posted in this thread ), another victim found itself helplessly snared in the orb. Ironically, it looks like the wings on this tiny flier would have made it through the gap, but it was snagged by its very long legs. The dots on the silk strands are not dew--they are the sticky blobs that hold the victims in place.
Canon 40D, 100mm macro lens, ISO 100, f/11, 1/250 w/flash
